Predictive maintenance that paid back in two quarters

An energy client connected IoT alarms to work orders and spare-parts buying.

An energy operator was losing days to unplanned downtime because alarms, work orders, and MRO buying lived in three queues. A high-vibration event on a critical pump could wait overnight for a technician, then wait again for a seal kit that procurement did not know was needed.

The team connected IoT alarms to a maintenance work order and, where the BOM was known, to a guided requisition. Spares that were already on a min-max policy moved automatically; the rest landed with a buyer who could see the asset, the plant, and the last failure in one record.

Payback showed up in two quarters as avoided outages and a thinner emergency-freight bill — not as a vanity OEE chart. The lesson was operational: reliability improves when the asset register, the work order, and the purchase order share an identity.

That pattern is what Procurexa Assets is for. Tracking, maintenance, and depreciation stay on the same lineage so capital equipment is both productive and accountable.
